Florence Fuller Child Development Centers School Age Program

We offer a School Age program at both sites all year long. The program consist of afterschool care and school vacation day camp, Monday - Friday, during the regular school year (see handbook for the school calendar). Students are grouped with children of similar ages for homework time, tutoring and enrichment activities. Transportation to both Centers is available from several schools in Boca Raton for students enrolled in the After School Program.

Transportation:
East Center provides transportation from the following schools: Boca Raton Elementary, J.C. Mitchell, A.D. Henderson University School, and Boca Raton Charter School. The West Center provides transportation from the following schools: Coral Sunset, Sandpiper Shores, Sunrise Park, and Whispering Pines Elementary Schools.

Facts:

 

The ratio of students to teachers is 10 to 1 (5-6 year old) and 15 to 1 (7-12 year old).
The School Age program ratios meet all NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) guidelines.
The School Age Program is a participating members of Quality Improvement System, Prime Time and Family Central of Palm Beach County, agencies that set standards for after school professionals and standards to improve the quality of after school programs. Both FFCDC programs continue to meet standards and excel yearly.
Our counselors attend the 40 hour training on child care required by the Health Department.
Our staff is very diverse in their ethnicity and cultural backgrounds and many are fluent in English, Spanish, Creole, French.
All School Age counlselors are certified in CPR with AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) for infant, child and adult.

 

Cost: 
The School Age Program includes School Vacation Camp, ages 5 - 12 years, range $50.00 – $90.00 weekly.* Families that are unable to afford our minimum fee may be eligible for subsidized child care.

*The cost for our program is based on a sliding fee scale. Your income and family size determine the actual cost that a family pays but we encourage you to call the Centers for more information regarding child care fees for your child. With the exception of subsidized families, this program also requires a $30 registration fee.

All the children in the childcare center will be treated the same regardless of the family’s ability to pay.  No child will be discriminated against because of disability, race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation or national origin.
