  • Passionate long-term donors and enthusiastic new friends gathered recently at the beautiful Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton for the 2011 Wee Dream Ball. The focus of the evening was for a single united goal – to ensure that the disadvantaged children attending Florence Fuller Child Development Centers (FFCDC) will continue to have quality early learning and educational programs available. Themed "The Ultimate 70's Birthday Party" in honor of the centers' 40th anniversary, the Wee Dream Ball capped off an entire year of community-focused anniversary celebrations.

    Under the dedicated leadership of Rosa & Francis Feeney and Stacey & Evan Packer, the 2011 Wee Dream Ball will contribute an astounding $438,000 to the two Centers located in east and west Boca Raton. Rosa Feeney said, "At a time when many nonprofits are facing great challenges in reaching their fundraising goals, we are awed by the generous support of our guests." Stacey Packer added, "Thankfully our donors understand the importance of the educational programs FFCDC provides for low-income children in our community."

  • The Wee Dream Ball is as energetic and unique as the children it helps. MC Alberto led the evening's activities and DJ Sean ensured that the dance floor was always full with an array of classic 70's disco music. Board member Jay Foreman made a repeat appearance as the charismatic auctioneer for the live auction. Jay's high-spirited banter with the crowd encouraged some heated, but friendly, competition, which resulted in raising a fantastic $78,000. The eagerly awaited silent and super silent auction added an additional $30,640. The evening's appeal, appropriately titled "Giving from the Heart," featured speeches from two students and a parent whose personal stories encouraged additional giving of more the $113,000.
